Agroha Dham
Agrawal Heritage & Spiritual Serenity in Historic Agroha
A Majestic Temple Complex Honoring Agrasen’s Legacy & Devotion
Agroha Dham, located in Agroha village of Hisar district, Haryana, is a magnificent temple complex built between 1976 and 1984. It is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi and King Agrasen, the legendary progenitor of the Agrawal community. The temple consists of three grand shrines: the central one devoted to Mahalakshmi, the western wing to Goddess Saraswati, and the eastern to Maharaja Agrasen. Its vibrant architecture, ornate domes, and symbolic carvings create an awe-inspiring spiritual environment that blends heritage with devotion.
Behind the temple lies the serene Shakti Sarovar, a sacred pond filled with water from 41 holy rivers of India. The area includes a yajna platform showcasing scenes from the mythological churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan), meditation caves inspired by Vaishno Devi and Amarnath, and lifelike tableaux depicting Krishna Leela. A towering 90-foot statue of Hanuman stands as a guardian of the complex. Additional features include an amusement park, boating facilities, a naturopathy center, and a massive satsang hall with seating for over 5,000 devotees—making it a destination that nurtures both body and soul.
