Valley of Flowers

Alpine Meadows, Rare Blooms & a Journey to Heaven

Explore Nature’s Masterpiece in the Himalayas

Valley of Flowers National Park, tucked away in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking alpine meadows, rare Himalayan flowers, and panoramic glacier views. Located at an altitude of around 12,000 feet, this valley comes alive during the monsoon months with over 500 species of wildflowers, mosses, herbs, and butterflies in full bloom.

This magical destination is a favorite for trekkers, botanists, nature lovers, and spiritual seekers alike. The 17-km trek from Govindghat via Ghangaria to the valley is one of the most scenic in the Himalayas — with every step revealing snow-fed rivers, waterfalls, and lush green trails.

Often combined with a visit to Hemkund Sahib, the valley offers tranquility, adventure, and awe in equal measure. It’s best visited between mid-July to late August, when the blooms are at their peak.
